How competitive is BLACKbox in comparison to any other DLP solution?

BLACKbox cannot be compared with any DLP product since DLP is one of the many features of BLACKbox. BLACKbox is a storage device, a file server, a domain controller, a proxy server, an email distribution server and an auto backup system with a single hardware and a single agent deployment. It also provides DLP through USB controls, email vigilance, and internet controls.

Which layer of the IT infrastructure does BLACKbox work on?

BLACKbox – on-premise or in the data centre, works behind the firewall.

Which OS is BLACKbox based on?

BLACKbox is based on Modified Linux.

Does BLACKbox provide two-factor authentication?

No. But BLACKbox is more secure than two-factor authentication. It can only be accessed from the system installed with the agent registered on BLACKbox.

Does BLACKbox provide the feature of validating file names according to the defined criteria?

No. BLACKbox does not provide the feature of validating file names.

Where is the software of BLACKbox installed?

For the product equipped with BLACKbox hardware, the console is installed on the BLACKbox device and the client software is installed on users’ windows 10 or above systems.

For the software-only solution (DHSS), the console is installed on the server provided by the customer and client software is installed on users’ windows 10 or above systems.

For the BLACKbox AAA virtualization application, the server of AAA is installed on the system installed with the clients of the applications to be accessed (provided by the customer). The client software is installed on users’ windows 10 or above system.

For Duo, the console is installed on the BLACKbox cloud (if the BLACKbox device is not procured), or the console is installed on BLACKbox hardware (if the BLACKbox device is procured). The client software is installed on the user’s Windows 10 or above systems.

Yes, it is possible to use BLACKbox as an SFTP server. The users using BLACKBox on SFTP will be considered in the license count. The BLACKbox needs to be connected over the Internet with static IP, and SFTP-related ports need to be forwarded to the local IP of the BLACKbox through the Internet router or firewall.
