CEO’s confession: yes, we broke those glass ceilings,

March end, sounds like a last chance,

Last chance to alter the Yearly Chapters of Enterprise Histories. Yes, April starts with assumptions and March ends with realities. Mostly assumptions (read projections) are discovered to be different from realities (read achievements). And follows the justifications, confessions, judgments and of course, new assumptions for impending April.

At Synersoft, we have interesting method to set goals and achieve them, inspired by the rocket science. Once the mission (read goal) is set, we plan everything, fuel (read resources), speed (read aggression), atmospheric friction (read obstacles), and distance (read time line).

Major goal is divided in sub-goals and obstacles are divided as the tough or fragile, glass ceilings, which we have to break across our trajectory.

This is very effective method, which makes us wiser on when to overplay and underplay our aggression. Let me confess, we celebrate every time when we shatter these glass ceilings and allow us some time to heal the wounds (read temporary slow down).

When I look down from all accomplished missions, i see those broken glass ceilings, remember those jerks and feel the pain with a great sense of accomplishment.

I am sure, my entrepreneur connections would empathize with my expression. Let me list the most significant glass ceilings we broke.

How did we break that Toughened Glass Ceiling?

Our award winning innovation, BLACKbox is cost effective and simpler solution which substitutes need of 7 critical IT systems at one third of the cost. When this solution was shown to IT vendors and system integrators, they took us as threat. They thought that selling a substitute (BLACKbox) at one third of the cost of these 7 traditional systems, will reduce their earnings. We took this challenge and drove a massive awareness campaign with SME owners and generated demand by direct sales efforts. On other side, we explained to these IT vendors and system integrators, that hiding information for vested interest won’t help. Grow your business volumes by offering such cost effective solution to more number of customers. I am glad, after a painful battle, most system ingetrators are on our side to give value for money to their customers.

How did we break that bullet proof glass?

Well, this was even more difficult. Our award winning innovation BLACKbox saves 70 percent of the software licensing cost. Due to high level of piracy prevailing in SME sector, this cost saving was never valuable to SMEs. It was like, why to pay even 30 percent when its all free in pirated form. We developed deep relationship with them, earned their trust to be able to discuss such a sensitive issue. We explained that you might be the victim of piracy because software licensing may sound unreasonably and irrationally priced. After all, we are in business. Our business strategy required us to command 100 percent advance payments and price rise every year. Right to negotiate is the fundamental right in India.
